Feast.. O feast? How come thou? The papers gave elaborate reports on the colorful celebrations in far off places. He saw the children of the refugee camp, disgruntled and glowering. As for the houses, none was left standing. All were reduced to rubble.
His young child was one of many. He wanted to see a smile on the child's face. He came closer to his son and handed him two pounds.
However, the child declined. He did not bother to reach out for the money.
" Here take them", the father said, a little upset. " Go buy whatever you want".
Still the child declined.
" Here son", the father insisted, "when you spend them, I'll give you some more".
The child's hands never moved. Instead , he began to laugh in a strange way.
The father stopped and , lifting the child in both hands, he cried angrily:
"Why are you laughing boy?"
"What could I buy?" the boy replied, " Two pounds won't do for a gun".
Putting his child down on the ground, the father began to laugh fit to split. The whole camp was laughing.
