Imagined Palestine
Abstract
Imagined Palestine is a book divided into two volumes. It presents a theory which proves that the Torah was sent down in Old Yemen, not in Palestine, and it gives proofs verifying this fact. Volume One is divided into two sections: The first reports what al-Hamadani says in his book Al-Ikleel when he describes the land of the Torah in the Yemenite town called Sarat and the residents of the Asbat.
The second section asserts that Al-Quds is not Jerusalem. It also talks about the wars that Prophet Dawud fought in Yemen and his conquests, and about Yemen’s Ariha. Thereafter, it refers to Nabukhadh Nassar’s campaign against the Arabian tribes, the Children of Israel in Najran and the incident of the Babylon captivation. In the end, he alludes to the peoples and tribes of the Torah in Yemen supported by proofs.
Volume Two is divided into three sections preceded by an$ introduction which inquires about the Assyrian campaigns and where the incident of the captivation took place, and so it raises suspicions about many points related to it on the basis of the statements of historians. Then it dedicates the first section for Senhareeb’s campaigns against the Children of Israel in Najran, and so it brings to light the Assyrians’ attack of the Yemeni coast, the battles of Sarat, rebuilding Orshalim amongst Himiar’s cypress trees, the list of the captives from the tribes during the fights, the campaigns that Blacer III launched against al-Sarat, the Assyrians’ correspondence with Mikhlaf’s Jewish kings, Nabukhadh Nassar’s wars in Sarat and the legend of crossing Jordan. In the second section discusses at Yahudha and al-Samir’s battle, concludes that it was a fabricated tale and gives his opinion about it. The third section is dedicated for the topic of the Greek Torah. It raises a few different questions related to this subject and relevant to the mentioned heading.
